Burn Awareness Week
National Burn Awareness Week is taking place from February 1st to 7th, 2026, and this year, the focus is on workplace burn safety. From kitchens and laboratories to construction sites and offices, burns can occur anywhere, but prevention begins with awareness and action.
Burn Awareness Week is a great time to learn about prevention on all burns no matter where they occur.
The Office of the Fire Commissioner’s website has been updated with information on the Burn Awareness Week Poster Contest that will once again be held, thanks to the Manitoba Firefighters’ Burn Fund, Manitoba Association of Fire Chiefs and the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
