Disaster Financial Assistance Information & Application

The Province of Manitoba has launched a Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) program to support residents affected by the recent storm event. This program applies to the ENTIRE Municipality of Rosser. The application deadline is September 9, 2026.

Important In-Person DFA Sessions

The Provincial Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) recovery team will be at the Grosse Isle Community Centre on June 17 and June 18 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

As part of this outreach, they will be able to answer questions about applying for DFA and also answer questions and support with inspections if required.

Even though this is being held in Grosse Isle, this is an opportunity for anyone in the municipality to speak to the Province about applying for DFA. Primary residences, farms, businesses, and non-profit organizations with impacts related to the heavy rains may apply to the DFA program.

The RM of Rosser will also have a Municipal Representative at the Community Centre to answer any of your municipal storm related questions.

How Do I Apply to the DFA program?

Online DFA application for the 2026 June Severe Weather is now available for impacted individuals to submit applications. The application is available at www.manitoba.ca/emo

A DFA paper application will be available at our municipal office starting Monday June 15th if you do not have access to internet.
